About Millbrook
Millbrook is a city of 16,564 people (2020 Census, up from 14,640 in 2010) in Autauga and Elmore counties, part of the Montgomery metro area. It incorporated as a city in the late 1970s, after Interstate 65 opened. Its history runs much deeper: Robinson Springs, now inside the city, was an early summer resort for Montgomery families and hosted Alabama's first state fair in 1852, and Ellerslie, the area's first permanent home, was completed in 1818.
Cockroach control in Millbrook
Roaches in a kitchen or bathroom are worth treating early, because German roaches breed quickly indoors. Treatment usually combines gel baits placed in cracks with follow-up visits, and Penn State Extension notes roach skins and droppings can trigger asthma attacks. See cockroach control.
Rodent control in Millbrook
Mice move indoors as the weather cools. Seal gaps around pipes, vents and garage doors, set snap traps along walls and keep pet food and birdseed in sealed containers so there's nothing to come in for. See rodent control.
Termite control and moisture in Millbrook
Native subterranean termites occur in every Alabama county, according to Alabama Extension, and moisture is the key factor that draws them in. Leaky gutters, condensation, poor drainage and wood touching soil all raise the risk. An annual inspection, with a report and map you keep on file, is the simplest protection. See termite control.
Mosquito control in Millbrook summers
Mosquitoes breed in any container that holds water. The Alabama Department of Public Health recommends dumping and scrubbing containers weekly, covering rain barrels and filling low spots in the yard, then using EPA-registered repellent at dawn and dusk. See mosquito control.
